>His Eminence Grand Ayatullah Sayyid Mohammed Sa’eed Al-Hakeem called the international community, including the United Nations, to assess the true reality of Iraq, and to express clearly the parties which believe in peace and peaceful co-existence, and to document the crimes that have occurred on the Iraqis by the terrorists, and to bring to account those parties who supported and funded the terrorists.

He made this statement on Tuesday 2nd Rabi-al-Awwal 1439, in a meeting with Ms. Agnes Callamard, the Special Rapporteur on extrajudicial, summary or arbitrary executions at the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner of Human Rights.

Ms. Callamard valued the positions of the religious Marja'iyya and its peaceful communication, which had and still has a powerful good effect on the hearts of people. She emphasized that Iraq has an opportunity to build for itself a future built upon human rights.

Is it forbidden to interrupt the prayer and invalidate it without cause?

It is not permissible to nullify the obligatory prayer intentionally based on an obligatory precaution. It is permissible to do so for any recommended reason by the sharia or desired for worldly purpose.

Is it permissible for a matured girl who lost her virginity by fornication, or by any other way apart from valid marriage, to marry temporarily without the consent of her father or guardian?

If the virginity was lost by adultery or any reason other than religious marriage, then the woman is still considered as virgin and it is not permissible to marry her permanently without the permission of her father or paternal grandfather. Also it is not permissible to marry her temporarily and consummate the marriage without the permission of the father or the grandfather. Yes, it is permissible to marry her temporarily without the need to seek the consent if the marriage is not consummated.
